Battle Ground Lake has been stocked with 5,000 catchable-size rainbow trout plus 24 10-pound broodstock rainbow. Klineline Pond has gotten 1,500 half-pound rainbow trout.

Sturgeon fishing continues to be good in the Bonneville pool of the Columbia River when weather conditions are decent. State biologists announced the catch through Sunday is 737 legal sturgeon on a sport allocation of 2,000.

Angler checks from the Washington (WDFW) and Oregon (ODFW) departments of Fish and Wildlife:

Lower Columbia — Longview to Portland, five boaters with one sublegal sturgeon released; three Oregon bank rods with three sublegal sturgeon released. (ODFW)

Columbia Gorge (downstream of Bonneville Dam), three Oregon bank rods with no sturgeon. (ODFW)

Mid-Columbia — Bonneville pool, 36 boaters with 12 legal sturgeon kept and 90 sublegals released; 12 bank rods with two sublegals released. (WDFW)

The Dalles pool, two boaters with three sublegal sturgeon released; three bank rods with no sturgeon. (WDFW)

John Day pool, three bank rods with no steelhead; 24 bank rods with no sturgeon; eight boaters with one sublegal sturgeon released. (ODFW)
