“Home Sweet Home” will be the theme for a Saturday home dedication ceremony and celebration hosted by Evergreen Habitat for Humanity.

With the addition of two new homes for the Cabrera and Griffin families, the seven-home development called Patten Park is now considered complete. Patten Park, near Five Corners, first got under way in 2007.

These two homes are the 22nd and 23rd built under the auspices of Evergreen Habitat for Humanity, the local chapter of the affordable homebuilder that enlists deserving families to work toward the construction of their own homes. Habitat sells such homes at no profit and a zero percent interest rate to families that contribute at least 300 hours of “sweat equity.”

Wells Fargo and Bank of America were major sponsors of these homes.

The event is set for 1 to 3 p.m. at 6901 N.E. 99th Court and 7009 N.E. 98th Ave. To learn more, contact Josh Townsley, executive director of Evergreen Habitat for Humanity, at 360-606-4974.
