Man killed by Fairview police identified

FAIRVIEW, Ore. (AP) -- Authorities have released the identity of a man who was shot and killed by Fairview police after he brandished a knife.

He was 37-year-old Larry Maurice Wesley McKinney.

The East County Major Crimes Team is investigating the case. Fairview police say McKinney was shot during a disturbance at an apartment complex Friday night. The officers involved are on administrative leave, per standard procedure.
