Old Evergreen Highway — A website that shows off the region’s best trails, parks and green spaces now features a historic property near the Vancouver waterfront. It’s the Jane Weber Evergreen Arboretum at 9215 S.E. Evergreen Highway — what used to be known as the Stanger home. It’s one of the oldest buildings in Clark County, dating back to 1867, and now the pet project of local parks-and-trails guru Kelly Punteney, who is working to renovate it as a public green space, community garden and stop along the Waterfront Renaissance Trail. Take a look at http://theintertwine.org/JWE-arboretum for photos, maps and an overall master plan.
