Woodland — A company and a property owner have sued the Port of Woodland and an RV park, alleging the port improperly sold a parcel to the RV park and did so in secret.

Attorneys for Columbia River Carbonates and Michael Landels claim port commissioners held an illegal executive session to approve the sale of a 1.35-acre property to CRRVP LLC for $44,000 — a “grossly inadequate” amount — according to documents filed last week in Cowlitz County Superior Court.

Nelson Holmberg, the port’s executive director, said Monday the port worked with its attorney throughout the transaction process. He declined to comment further.

Columbia River Carbonates and Landels are asking the court to cancel the sale of the parcel and return its title to the port. They’re also asking the court to award them costs and attorney fees.
