A Portland woman was taken to a hospital after a 6:08 a.m. Sunday accident in the 14400 block of Northeast 72nd Avenue, authorities said.

Clark County sheriff’s Sgt. Alex Schoening said a Nissan pickup driven by Christopher Norgaard of Battle Ground was northbound on 72nd when it crossed the center line and collided with two southbound vehicles on 72nd.

He said Norgaard’s pickup sideswiped a 1992 Chevrolet Caprice driven by Hugo Martinez-Tapia of Portland and then collided head-on with a 1998 Honda Civic driven by Martha Silva-Paz of Portland.

Silva-Paz was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, where she was treated and released.

There was no indication the two men had serious injuries.

The accident is under investigation. The Vancouver Fire Department also responded.
