Letter: Boldt’s principles applauded

Clark County Commissioner Marc Boldt may not know me by face or name, but I want him to know how much I appreciate his comments in the March 23 story “County GOP board penalizes Boldt.” In this day and age where cynicism and rancor reign in politics, it is stunning and wonderful to have a local political leader who is principled and fully recognizes the responsibilities of their elected position.

Here’s a big shout out of thanks to Boldt who believes “there’s a difference between being elected by the party and governing for everybody.”
