GRANITE FALLS, Wash. (AP) — The mayor of Granite Falls has been evicted from the restaurant he operated in the city, and 18 employees lost their job when the Timberline Cafe closed Sunday.
Mayor Haroon Saleem is in a dispute with the owner over roof repairs, and they expect to go to court.
Saleem was elected in 2009. He told The Daily Herald on Monday (http://is.gd/8R3Kk3 ) he intends to finish his four-year term.
