The singles championship match at the Class 3A district girls tennis tournament was an all-Camas affair … and an all-freshman affair.

Freshman Esther Kwon beat teammate Jen Lewis 6-1, 6-2 to capture the girls singles title Saturday at Club Green Meadows.

Kwon dropped only six game in four matches en route to a district title.

The district tournament is not over for Lewis, who will meet Columbia River’s Jayne Piboonvaranggoon on Monday to determine second place.

In doubles, the Prairie sisters tandem of Akari and Shiori Baba captured the district championship with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Columbia River’s Julie Piboonvaranggoon and Myra Lukens.

On Monday, River’s Camille Mitchell and Sarah Case will face Mountain View’s Emily Raivio and Milla Benedetti in the consolation bracket final. The winner will face Piboonvaranggon and Lukens for second place.

The outcome of Monday’s matches will help determine the team champion, which is a tight battle between Camas and Columbia River.
