Letter: Demands unreasonable

The Columbian

Now that gas is down nearly 70 cents per gallon vs. pre-election prices, will the people who blamed President Obama for the high cost of fuel turn around and give the man credit for the decrease? I didn’t think so.

I think some people could really use a reality check concerning the miracles they expect from, or attribute to, our presidents.

Another example? How about the totally unreasonable expectation/demand that the president bring back the U.S./world economy from a historic low point to happy days in less than four years? Not even the Mitt Romney supporters, if they were honest, thought that their guy could have pulled that little rabbit out of the hat.

The elections are now over. Can we please try to tone down the rhetoric and conspiracy theories for a while?
