Why not have an old-fashioned celebration for the start of the high school sports year?
That’s what folks in Washougal thought. So, Wednesday night at Hambleton Brothers Lumber, high school sports teams, coaches, cheerleaders, and band and boosters members came together for a bonfire rally.
A Washougal firefighter used several signal flares to ignite the pile, which was perhaps 20 feet high.
