MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love will have arthroscopic surgery on his left knee, ending any small chance of him finishing an injury-filled season on the court.

The Timberwolves made the announcement on Monday night. Love is expected to be out four to six weeks after having a buildup of scar tissue removed from his knee.

It’s the latest injury in a season filled with them for the Timberwolves and Love. After helping the United States win gold in London, Love played in just 18 games this season. He broke his right hand before the regular season, then broke it again 18 games into his return. He averaged 18.3 points and 14 rebounds this season.

The knee surgery is minor and he is expected to be ready for training camp.
