Donate food to Share and get Heart concert tickets

For the third year in a row, you can donate food to the hungry and pick up concert tickets for the Sleep Country Amphitheater as a thank you.

The amphitheater is sponsoring its third annual “Share Food for Tickets” event, benefitting nonprofit agency Share Vancouver, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Bring a donation of 10 pounds or more of nonperishable food in a reusable grocery bag to Share’s headquarters — or make a cash donation of at least $20 — and you’ll get one ticket voucher for the Aug. 30 concert Heart: The Heartbreaker Tour at the Sleep Country Amphitheater.

And, if you bring in 10 or more of those 20-pound grocery bags, in addition to the ticket vouchers, you’ll also be entered into a drawing for a two-seat “Star Box” ticket package, which includes parking and pre-show buffet. Five of these packages will be given away.

Assorted canned soups, peanut butter, tuna, canned chili, canned fruits and vegetables, instant oatmeal and pancake mix, ground coffee, pasta and rice, and boxed meals are most welcome.

Don’t bring donations to the Clark County fairgrounds; they must go to the Share Fromhold Service Center at 2306 N.E. Andresen Road. You will be given ticket vouchers that can be redeemed at the Sleep Country Amphitheater on the day of the show only. For more information, visit sleepcountryamphitheater.com or sharevancouver.org.
