Stanford easily handles South Dakota St 92-60

STANFORD, Calif. (AP) — Chasson Randle scored 17 of his 21 points in the first half and Stanford routed South Dakota State, 92-60, on Sunday as part of the Progressive Legends Classic.

Anthony Brown added 19 points and Josh Huestis scored 13 for the Cardinal (6-2), who won their fifth in six games. Stefan Nastic had 10 points.

Jordan Dykstra scored 20 points to lead the Jackrabbits (3-6), who lost their second straight. Brayden Carlson added 16.

Stanford and South Dakota State played their second-round game of the Stanford Regional although the Legends Classic title was determined Tuesday in Brooklyn, with Pittsburgh beating the Cardinal, 88-67.

The Jackrabbits won their sub-regional with wins over Howard and Lehigh in Brookings, S.D.

The Cardinal scored the game’s first 13 points and never trailed, building a 58-24 advantage by halftime.
