Nic Petan scored four goals, including a natural hat trick, as the Portland Winterhawks rallied for a 6-5 Western Hockey League victory Sunday over the Saskatoon Blades at the Moda Center.

Portland’s Oliver Bjorkstrand opened scoring with 23 seconds remaining in the opening period, but Matt Revel answered just 11 seconds later for the Blades then tallied again 17 seconds into the second period. Nathan Burns scored twice for a 4-1 Blades lead, chasing Portland goalie Jarrod Schamerhorn. Brendan Burke finished the game in net for the Winterhawks.

Petan scored power play goals at 15:37 and 18:45 of the second period, then 1:42 into the third to tie it at 4. His fourth goal, on a power play 13:48 into the final period, tied it at 5, then Bjorkstrand’s second goal with 20 seconds remaining gave Portland the victory.
