Arkansas-Little Rock beats Louisiana-Monroe 70-60

MONROE, La. (AP) — Josh Hagins scored 14 points and Arkansas-Little Rock used a 9-0 run in the second half to put away Louisiana-Monroe 70-60 in a Sun Belt Conference game Thursday night.

Gus Leeper had 12 points and Will Neighbour 11 for the Trojans (15-10, 9-5), who have won four of their past five and three in a row on the road.

Trey Lindsey had 18 points, Jayon James 15 and R.J. McCray 10 for the Warhawks (3-16, 2-11), who have lost eight in a row.

UALR led 36-23 at halftime, but ULM closed to 42-40 on James’ free throws with 12:06 remaining. The Trojans scored nine straight points capped by Kemy Osse’s 3-pointer for a 51-40 advantage at 10:53 and held on for the win.

ULAR made 16 of 24 at the line to ULM’s 11 of 21 and outscored the Warhawks 17-8 in points off turnovers and 10-1 in second-chance points.
