Prep athlete of the week: Seth Albert, Camas swimming

Seth Albert, Camas boys swimming

Seth Albert of Camas boys swimming was voted The Columbian’s high school athlete of the week for the week of Feb. 4-9 in a vote by fans on Facebook.

Albert collected 49 percent of the 339 votes cast to beat out Columbia River basketball player Isaiah Smith, who had 25 percent.

Albert won four district titles, two individuals (200 freestyle and 100 freestyle) and two relays (200 free relay and 400 free relay), helping Camas win the 4A district team title..

The other nominees were Washougal girls wrestler Erin Locke, Union boys wrestler Jon Reynolds and La Center girls basketball player Katie Whitten.

Nominees are posted on The Columbian’s prep sports blog at www.360preps.com by Monday. Voting starts Monday and continues through 8 p.m. Thursday at www.facebook.com/360preps.
