Colgate hits 3-pointers to beat Dartmouth 78-62

HANOVER, N.H. (AP) — Murphy Burnatowski scored 21 points and Colgate hit eight 3-pointers in the first half on the way to defeating Dartmouth 78-62 Saturday night.

The Raiders (6-10) made 10 of 13 3-pointers, shooting 52.3 percent from the field (23 of 44), and were 22 of 28 from the free-throw line.

Burnatowski, who made 5 of 7 field goals and 9 of 10 foul shots, broke an 11-11 tie with a 3-pointer, sparking an 18-5 run. Luke Roh’s fade-away 3 at the buzzer gave Colgate a 40-24 lead.

Roh added 15 points, Mitch Rolls 12 and Brandon James 10 for the Raiders, who shot 56.3 percent in the second half (9 of 16), including 2 of 2 from long range.

Colgate, which has won three of its last four games, outrebounded the Big Green 36-28.

Jvonte Brooks matched his career high with 18 points for Dartmouth (2-10), which has lost seven straight.
