Vancouver man shot in Gresham, Ore.

Victim expected to recover

A Vancouver man was shot early Sunday morning in Gresham, Ore.

Police were dispatched to the 21700 block of Southeast Alder Street around 3:45 a.m. Sunday after reports of shots being fired and a man screaming, according to the Gresham Police Department. Arriving officers found a man with a gunshot wound. He was transported to Legacy Emanuel Hospital in Portland with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Meanwhile, Portland police found the suspect’s vehicle abandoned in the area of Southeast Powell and Interstate 205, but they did not find the suspect. No arrests have been made so far.

The victim’s identity and condition were not released, but police say he is expected to recover.
