Vancouver police Tuesday night arrested a wanted Vancouver man who was hiding in the bathroom of a convenience store.

Officer Ilia Botvinnik said a resident about 9 p.m. called 911 to report a suspicious man in Westfield Vancouver mall. The man left and headed to the 7-11 store at 8214 N.E. Vancouver Mall Loop.

Officer Brian Viles and the K-9 Enzo were called to help and arrived at the store about 9:17 p.m.

The suspect, Joshua Sperling, 30, upon request came out of the bathroom and was arrested on a warrant for a parole violation. Police said they believe he is homeless.

Sperling was taken to the Clark County Jail.
