The pedestrian struck by a tractor-trailer in downtown Vancouver on Monday was listed in critical condition at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center Thursday afternoon.

Police say Kevin J. Hoskins, 25, crossed the street in front of a big rig, driven by Jay A. Grow, 41, of Vancouver, that was heading west. Grow was not able to stop in time. The crash occurred on East 15th Street, a one-way street just west of Interstate 5, around 2:30 p.m. Monday.

No citations have been issued so far in the traffic unit’s investigation, Kapp said.

Anyone who witnessed the collision who has not already spoken to police is asked to call Officer Jeff Olson at 360-487-7478.
