INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) — Spirit Rules rallied from last to beat 7-5 favorite Oliver’s Tale by a length Friday in the $57,390 feature at Betfair Hollywood Park.
Ridden by Iggy Puglisi, Spirit Rules ran six furlongs on Cushion Track in 1:10.09 and paid $11.20, $4.40 and 43.
Oliver’s Tale returned $3.60 and $2.60, while Imperial Fortune was another three-quarters of a length back in third and paid $3 to show.
Making his first start since July 14, Spirit Rules has three wins in seven career starts and earnings of $122,098.
