Hazel Dell — Garry LaDuke, the "Farmer in the Dell" whose livestock spread at 11309 N.E. Hazel Dell Avenue was in the news last week, said he had no idea that more than one immediate neighbor resented the place and its odors. Columbian coverage seems to have gotten neighbors talking more — LaDuke posted on Facebook that he was "unaware as to the problems we created for those neighbors. I sincerely apologize to you. We will be disposing of several roosters this weekend and also trying to identify and resolve the odor issues. Please come talk to us if an issue arises so that we may resolve it. We are trying to have our farm but also would like to be the best neighbors possible. Once again, I apologize."
