Letter: Obama unequal to the task

In his April 18 letter, “Progressive action wins enemies,” Michael Nettleton opines that President Barack Obama is infallible concerning issues of Obama’s presidency.

Nettleton says Obama was naive in saying if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor; if you like your health plan you can keep your health plan. The insurance companies are responsible for those words, although Obama said them. Millions of policies were dropped; plans under Obamacare are more expensive.

One must agree with Nettleton — Obama is too astute to be involved in IRS scandals — just examine the cabinet officials sacrificed after the scandals.

The Benghazi tragedy was no simple attack by radicals as the president said on national television. Testimony shows America was fed lies. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton famously insisted in Congressional hearings “what difference does it make?” I’m convinced lives of four Americans matter.

Attorney General Eric Holder was not forthcoming about the “gun-walking” program initiated by Holder’s agency. Yes, Obama’s predecessor was responsible. We all know past presidents have power to command ATF operatives when out of office.

Obama has weakened our worldwide image. Obama’s response to Syria (a “red line” crossed if chemical weapons used) was deplorable.

President Obama’s only crime is incompetence. But there aren’t laws against that, are there?
