Fire burns house in Vancouver’s Rose Village neighborhood

Fire burned a house Friday evening in Vancouver’s Rose Village neighborhood displacing four people.

American Red Cross disaster action team volunteers responded to a single-family fire at 5:55 p.m. Friday in the 3500 block of X Street in Vancouver.

The fire was reported at 5:13 p.m. at 3513 X St., according to dispatch records.

The Vancouver Fire Department responded.

Video taken by a bystander showed a single-story house fully engulfed in flame.

All occupants of the home escaped safely, according to emergency radio traffic. Further details were not immediately available.

The fire affected three adults and one child, according to the American Red Cross, which provided lodging, food, seasonal clothing, shoes, blankets, toys, comfort kits and information about health and mental health services.

The house is owned but not occupied by Eugene and Marlene Andersen of Vancouver, according to county property records.
