Battle Ground police continue to investigate a hit-and-run that killed a 22-year-old woman in 2012 and are again asking for the public’s help in solving the case.

At around 9 p.m. May 9, Tatyana Tupikova was walking north on the east side of state Highway 503 when police say she was struck and killed by a passing vehicle or an item extending from a passing vehicle.

Tupikova, a Battle Ground resident, had been walking home from Battle Ground Cinema where she had just watched the 6:30 p.m. showing of “The Avengers.”

Two days later, a passer-by found her body in the ditch about 50 feet from the northbound lanes, between Main Street and Eaton Boulevard.
