Letter: Going the way of Cantor?

The Columbian
Published: June 18, 2014, 5:00pm

House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-Va., hardly held any meetings in his district. U.S. Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Wash., meets in small surprise coffee clatches in her 3rd Congressional District. Cantor was viewed as being out of touch with his constituents; the same can be said of Herrera Beutler. Cantor voted with his party, rather than for the good of his constituents and the country; the same can be said for Herrera Beutler. Cantor will be known as an ex-congressman in January; so will Herrera Beutler if she decides to follow the ways of the other Washington rather than her folks back here in our Washington.
