Gymnasts place at boys state meet

Trace Jacquot of host Vancouver Elite Gymnastics Academy placed third all-around among Level 10 gymnasts ages 15-16 during the USA Gymnastics Men’s Washington State Championships. The state meet took place March 15-16 at the Clark County Event Center in Ridgefield.

Jacquot won on the pommel horse and tied for first on floor exercise.

Ryan Dietzman of VEGA won the high bar and was fifth all-around in that division. Noah Delisle placed 10th, and the trio carried VEGA to fourth place in team scoring for levels 8-10.

At Level 8, Taner Schiller of Naydenov was third in for ages 15-18.

Here are other local gymnasts who placed among the all-around top-10 for their level and age:

At Level 7, Kyle Hendren of Naydenov placed seventh for ages 13 and older, tying for first on floor exercise.

At Level 6, Nathaniel Davis of VEGA placed seventh among ages 9-10.

At Level 5, Ian Davis of VEGA won the pommel horse and was fourth all around for ages 7-8. Level 5 gymnasts. In the 9-10 age group, Zachary Murray of VEGA placed sixth and Evan Stice 10th. Nathan Ciobanu of Naydenov tied for eighth.

At Level 4, the beginning level for state competition, Jason Naydenov laced ninth for ages 7-8. Owen Huntington of VEGA placed sixth for ages 9-10.
