Union lacrosse splits road games

The Union boys lacrosse team split a pair of road games over the weekend, losing 9-8 at Southridge of Kennewick on Friday and beating Hermiston, Ore., 16-3 on Saturday.

The loss at Southridge was the first conference match for Union. Trey Chambers scored four goals for Union.

On Saturday, Parker Lindhorst had four goals and two assists, and Gunnar Drell and Ben Morasch each scored three times in the nonleague match at Hermiston.

Union (2-2-0) next faces King’s Way at 5:30 p.m. on April 15 at Shahala Middle School.

Austin Garwood had five goals and Gage Garrett four as Camas won 16-0 in a non-league match on March 25 at Forest Grove, Ore. Camas (4-1) opens league play on Wednesday, hosting King’s Way at 8 p.m. at Cardon Field at Camas High School.

King’s Way (1-1) played a non-league home game on Monday against Glencoe of Hillsboro, Ore.

Girls lacrosse — Evergreen Lacrosse Club lost to Snohomish 19-4 on Saturday at McKenzie Stadium. Maddie McKinnon scored twice for ELC. Evergreen (2-2) travels to Gig Harbor on Thursday for a non-conference game.
