Letter: Firefighters, police keep us safe

The Columbian
Published: August 5, 2015, 5:00pm

Vancouver has wonderful first responders. Firefighters have had a long, hot summer already. They are remarkable. They are also understaffed.

Police deal with situations that require restraint admirably every day. I read The Columbian and it is full of stories about Vancouver police and the stress they face in the line of duty.

Thank you ladies and gentlemen of the Vancouver fire and police departments. Vancouver is so fortunate to have you. Your dedication to this community keeps us safe.
