Police: Man used semi-automatic handgun in robbery

Police are searching for a suspect who displayed a semi-automatic handgun to rob a store attached to a gas station.

The suspect entered the store at the Chevron gas station, 14135 S.E. Mill Plain Blvd. in Vancouver, at about 4 a.m. July 24, displayed a handgun and demanded money before fleeing on foot, according to the Vancouver Police Department.

Officers did not locate the robber, but surveillance cameras captured images of the suspect.

Police described the suspect as a black man, between 6 feet tall and 6 foot 2, and weighing about 200 pounds. At the time of the crime, the suspect was wearing Nike shoes and a sweatshirt with a Superman logo on it, police said.
