At about 2:49 p.m. a shirtless man who seemed to be drug impaired was walking in and out of traffic on Interstate 5.
Washington State Patrol tried to get the man, 46, from Tacoma, into custody, but he evaded officers first by running onto Interstate 5 and then by running up onto the railroad berm.
Officers from Vancouver Police and Clark County Sheriff Office assisted in cornering the man. The man was tasered, taken into custody and taken to the hospital for a psychiatric evaluation, said Sgt. Ryan Tanner of Washington State Patrol.
