New businesses

Tom and Cherie McNabb have opened Postal Connections of America at 7720 N.E. Highway 99, Suite D, and will host a grand opening Thursday, Jan. 7. The PCA store offers domestic and international packaging and shipping via all the major carriers and USPS, printing, mailbox service, copies, scanning, notary and fax. Store hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

People in business

Identity Clark County has elected two local business officers to its board of directors: Jeff Harvey, chief executive officer of Burgerville, and Tracy Wilson of DeWils Industries, Inc. They were elected to three-year terms with the business advocacy organization. Harvey has been president and CEO of Burgerville since 2004. He is an advocate for the arts and operates a farm in eastern Oregon. Wilson is CEO of DeWils, a Vancouver-based cabinet-maufacturing company. He also serves as a director of the Association of Washington Business and Building Industry Association of Washington.

Identity Clark County also named Jim Mains of High Five Media to serve in the newly created Ed Lynch Board Seat. He will be a participant in discussions, monthly meetings and forums.

Nautilus, Inc. has promoted Jeff Collins to vice president, general manager retail for the home fitness company. In his role, he will continue working on Nautilus’ national retail growth, as well as its global expansion. Collins joined the company as vice president, retail sales in 2013 and was named an officer in 2014. He has more than 20 years of sales and marketing experience in the consumer goods business segment, both nationally and internationally.

Brian Garish has been named chief operations officer and senior vice president of operations for Portland-based Banfield Pet Hospital. In his new role, Garish will lead hospital operations and field leadership for the hospital’s national network. He brings more than 20 years of healthcare leadership to his new role. Most recently, he was vice president at CVS Caremark.

Jason Howlett, quality and safety manager for MacKay Sposito, has received the Certified Utility Safety Professional Green credential with an emphasis on transmission and distribution. To be eligible for the program, an individual must have three years of experience in a dedicated safety/training role in the utility industry and pass a rigorous exam.

Kathy Dean, system vice president of communications and marketing for PeaceHealth, has joined the Clark County Food Bank board of directors.

Noah Mawae was presented a Good Samaritan Award by the Washington Public Utility District Association at the organization’s recent annual conference. Mawae, a journeyman for Clark Public Utilities, was honored for successfully performing the Heimlich maneuver on a co-worker who was choking on food in August.

Other business

Thrifty Feed & Garden, 4207 N.E. St. Johns Road, is now a U-Haul dealership providing rental of trucks, trailers, towing equipment and related retail items.
