Girls basketball: South Medford (Ore.) 47, Skyview 42

A rough third quarter ended a tough tournament for the Skyview Storm at the Nike Interstate Shootout.

South Medford outscored Skyview 20-6 in the third quarter to take a 12-point lead. The Storm finished 1-3 in the top bracket of one of the most prestigious girls basketball tournament in the Northwest.

Hanna Van Nortwick scored 12 points to lead the Storm. Ashlee Comastro had nine points, and Maddie Lord had seven points and a team-high seven rebounds.

Skyview fell to 5-4 this season.

SKYVIEW — Riley Friauf 8, Sydney Friauf 4, Hanna Van Nortwick 12, Remington Riley 0, Kirsten Johnson 2, Ashlee Comastro 9, Maddie Lord 7. Totals 18 (2) 4-10 42.

SOUTH MEDFORD — Chamberlain 16, Orncloss 6, Falls 4, Tago 13, Washington 8. Totals 18 (3) 8-11 47.
