Cougs in the Community, a volunteer group organized by Washington State University Vancouver, will join Habitat for Humanity for a store improvement day. Volunteers are invited to meet at 9 a.m. Feb. 28 at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore, 10811 S.E. Second St. The cleanup ends at noon.

Volunteers will organize and recycle items, and repair cabinets and furniture. Volunteers should wear outdoor attire with sturdy, closed-toe shoes and bring their own tools. Volunteers 17 years old or younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Habitat for Humanity builds and rehabilitates houses with the help of partner families for no profit. Through volunteers, their ReStores have kept tons of usable materials out of landfills and helped build homes in the community.

Cougs in the Community volunteer projects are organized two or three times each year. WSU alumni, students, staff, faculty and friends are invited to help.

To take part, call 360-546-9501 or email jbredstrand@vancouver.wsu.edu.
