Letter: Yet another entitlement

The Columbian
Published: January 5, 2015, 4:00pm

I’m writing in response to Lynn Brown’s Jan. 4 letter, “The voters spoke for harsh results.” Brown, obviously a liberal Democrat (pro-government and anti-business), must think, like most liberals, that money grows on trees … someone else’s.

Apparently, liberals forget that hundreds of thousands of people lost their medical insurance coverage and doctor (that they were paying for), which that they were promised they could keep … by you know who.

Liberals forget that the Affordable Care Act was passed without the will of the people (most polls were against it and no Republican voted for the final draft of the bill). That it was passed not knowing what was in it … as Nancy Pelosi admitted. That it was passed with the help of lies as admitted by Jonathan Gruber, a plan design consultant, and that the additional promise to save the average family hundreds of dollars turned out to be another lie.

The majority of those signing up are receiving yet another entitlement from the government (ensuring even more votes for the Democrats). Please remember that these subsidies are paid for by those who pay for all subsidies … the minority of us who pay federal income tax.

Democrats, what will you do when the well finally runs dry? I know, just let the federal debt go to $20 trillion or $30 trillion.
