Clark County seeks mosquito board applicants

The Clark County Board of Health is seeking applicants for a vacant seat on the Mosquito Control Board.

The term would start immediately and continue through 2016, according to the county. Applicants must live in District 2, which includes east Clark County and the cities of Vancouver, Battle Ground, Camas and Washougal.

The mosquito board meets quarterly in February, May, August and November. Meetings are open to the public. The board’s duties include establishing policy, managing expenditures and approving contracts for the mosquito control district. Administration and operations are handled by Clark County Public Health.

Anyone interested may submit a résumé and letter of interest by 5 p.m. Feb. 13 to Jennifer Clark, Board of County Councilors, P.O. Box 5000, Vancouver, WA 98666-5000 or by email to jennifer.clark@clark.wa.gov.
