Detectives are investigating after shots were reportedly fired in downtown Vancouver early Sunday morning.

Several people called 911 at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday to report shots fired downtown. Officers arrived and found 10 shell casings on West Eighth Street just west of Washington Street, according to Vancouver Police Department spokeswoman Kim Kapp.

No suspects were found when police arrived and there are no known victims, Kapp said. No arrests have been made and police have not identified a suspect, Kapp said. Witnesses described a suspect vehicle as silver.

Detectives from the agency’s Major Crimes Unit and the Safe Streets Task Force, which investigates gang crimes, are continuing their investigation into the incident.
