Portland — Remember a few months ago when Voodoo Doughnut announced they were planning a massive expansion into Taiwan and Japan and adding a fifth location domestically?

After much speculation, that fifth shop will be opening in Austin, Texas, Community Impact Newspaper reported.

The kooky doughnut company will be settling in at the former Bourbon Girl space at 212 E. Sixth St., management confirmed. Voodoo Doughnut told The Oregonian in December they are planning to open in June.

Voodoo Doughnut opened their first location outside of Oregon in Denver in Dec. 2013. They have three brick and mortars — two in Portland and one in Eugene — in Oregon, as well as a cart in the Cartlandia pod on Southeast 82nd Avenue.
