A man was arrested after shots were fired in a Hazel Dell apartment Wednesday night.

Clark County sheriff’s deputies were called to an apartment complex at 10249 N.E. Notchlog Drive for reports of shots fired just after 9 p.m.

Four residents of unit 206 told authorities that shots were fired in the neighboring apartment, unit 205, and a bullet came through a shared wall, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office. No one was injured.

Deputies arrived and locked down the complex and took 58-year-old Michael Richard McDonald into custody without incident.

The victims told deputies that one of the four residents had an ongoing dispute with McDonald and that McDonald had come into the hallway and made a threatening statement, according to deputies.

McDonald was booked into the Clark County Jail on suspicion of two counts of first-degree assault.

Detectives with the sheriff’s major crimes unit and the tactical detective unit served search warrants for both apartments early Thursday morning.
