Letter: Lawmakers fail in educating youth

The Columbian
Published: May 19, 2015, 5:00pm

Earlier this year, the state leaders approved themselves the recommended raises in salary. They say they need it to attract top candidates to lead our state into the future, but they cannot even follow the law that says they must fairly and fully fund schools, and this also means teachers. Don’t we want the best students and the best teachers to teach our children and young adult students so they may become the future leaders of our state?
