Week 9 prep football player of the week nominees

Weekly vote, sponsored by Athletes Corner, continues through Tuesday

Here are the nominees for The Columbian prep football player of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Oct. 31.

Players may win the honor once in a month and cannot be nominated in consecutive weeks.

Voting will continue until 8 p.m. Tuesday, with results announced in Wednesday’s edition of The Columbian.

JARED BENTLEY, CAMAS: The receiver caught seven passes for 106 yards and a TD in a win over Heritage.

WYATT HARSH, WOODLAND: Harsh completed 13 of 18 passes for 198 yards and 5 TDs in a win over Fort Vancouver.

CAMERON LOOS, HOCKINSON: Loos caught three passes for 194 yard and 2 TDs in a win over R.A. Long.

PRESTON JONES, MOUNTAIN VIEW: Jones rushed for 209 yards on 21 carries and 4 TDs in a win over Evergreen.

ALEX MCGARRY, COLUMBIA RIVER: McGarry returned the opening kickoff for a TD, caught three passes and played a stellar game on defense in a win over Kelso.
