Firefighters respond to Battle Ground house fire

Firefighters are on the scene of a house fire in Battle Ground tonight.

The fire was reported at 10:38 p.m. in the 2300 block of Southwest Sixth Street. Firefighters arrived to find flames in the garage and smoke inside of the house, according to emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian.

Four dogs were still inside the house when firefighters arrived, but all human occupants had evacuated the home, according to radio traffic. One of the residents, a pregnant woman, had requested medical attention, according to radio traffic.
