Vancouver Mayor Tim Leavitt is the guest on the “Between Two Friends” radio show from 2 to 3 p.m. today on KOUG Radio, the student-operated radio station at Washington State University Vancouver. Listeners may e-mail questions for Leavitt to betweentwofriendsvancouver@gmail.com/.

Listen to the program live at www.KougRadio.com or catch it later at www.facebook.com/betweentwofriendsvancouver.

Ilana Brown, a public affairs and public policy major at WSU Vancouver, approached Jim Mains about her idea to produce a weekly radio show that connects the university to the community by featuring political leaders, community activists and students.

Mains, a partner at High Five Media, also co-hosts the Vancouver Side video blog and appears with Temple Lentz on the Hello Vancouver live talk show.

Mike Dalesandro and Marc Boldt, candidates for Clark County Council chair, will be the radio show’s guests from 2 to 3 p.m. Sept. 10.
