Laugh lines

The Kiggins Theatre will host Comedy on Tap stand-up comedy event from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. today at 1011 Main St., Vancouver. The evening features Brent Lowrey, a Portland-based comedian who just won the prestigious Seattle International Comedy Competition; Nathan Hart, a contributing writer for the popular punk-rock satire website, The Hard Times; and Kayla Evans, who has appeared at the All Jane Comedy Festival, the Treefort Festival and the Asheville Comedy Festival. Pipe dreams

First Presbyterian Church, 4300 Main St., Vancouver, presents a free pipe organ concert at 2 p.m. Sunday to celebrate the 40th anniversary of its Van Zoeren pipe organ. Concert organist Douglas Cleveland will perform classical and contemporary selections. Admission is free and doors open at 1 p.m. Please bring a nonperishable food donation for FISH of Vancouver. Doggy DIY

Vancouver in Real Life and DOGPAW off-leash dog parks will host a DIY Dog Toy Making Workshop from 1-2 p.m. Saturday at Heathen Brewing Feral Public House, 1109 Washington St., Vancouver. Learn to make flirt poles, T-shirt tug toys and snuffle mats for your dog. Attendees can purchase food and drink from Heathen. Tickets are $28 per person, including materials. The workshop will be followed by social hour from 2 to 4 p.m. Register at meetup.com.

Float your boat

The Portland Boat Show is at the Portland Expo Center through Sunday. Find every variety of sport and pleasure boats plus accessories, electronics, inboard and outboard engines, propellers, marine canvas and upholstery and repair services. Buy tickets at the gate. The box office closes one hour before show closing. Hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Fan-tastic

Fan Expo is Friday through Sunday at the Oregon Convention Center, celebrating the best in pop culture: movies, comics, cosplay, video gaming, television, original art, collectibles and contests, plus live entertainment, gaming, question-and-answer sessions with celebrities, movie screenings, anime, a kids’ zone and Artists’ Alley. Hours are 3 to 8 p.m. Jan. 12, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Jan. 13 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 14. Tickets range from $28-$109. Kids age five and under are free. Visit fanexpoportland.com for details.
