Both members of Royal Oaks Country Club qualified for the national tournament by finishing in the top five at a qualifying tournament held in early September at Waverley Country Club in Portland.

During stroke play over the weekend, Friede shot 89 and 85 for a two-round total of 174 at the par-72 Hillwood Country Club in Nashville, Tenn. Wright shot 92 and 86 for a two-day score of 178.

This is the third time Friede has qualified for the Senior Women’s Amateur, the first time for Wright.
