Haley Hanson and Emma Jones each made key baskets with under a minute left to lift the Camas girls basketball team to a 50-46 win over Mountain View.
Camas (16-3, 10-2) finishes as the 4A Greater St. Helens League’s No. 2 seed and earns a first-round bye in the District 4 tournament.
Mountain View (11-9, 5-7) finishes tied for fourth with Battle Ground. Mountain View is the No. 4 seed in the district tournament and will host Battle Ground at 7 p.m. Tuesday in a loser-out game.
Though they split two games this season, Mountain View wins the tiebreaker based on quality of wins against common opponents.
The Thunder and Tigers had equal results against the No. 1,2 and 3 seeds. But Mountain View won both its games against No. 6 seed Evergreen while Battle Ground split against the Plainsmen.

Mountain View coach Mat Clark believes the district tournament is wide open.
“Because everyone is playing such good defense, I think whoever shoots the best consistently is probably going to claim those two spots (to regionals),” he said.
