Police are investigating a robbery that occurred Sunday morning at a Shell gas station in Camas.

At 6:59 a.m., just before the convenience store at 1220 N.W. 28th Ave. opened, a female clerk reported being robbed by a man armed “with something dark and large, either a firearm or an umbrella,” according to a news release from the Camas Police Department. The man entered the store and demanded money, police said.

After the incident he fled eastbound, and officers were not able to find him.

The clerk was not injured, police said.
