UPDATE (1:55 p.m.): Duane Hall has been located and returned to his family.

Vancouver police are asking for the public’s help in their search for a 67-year-old man who suffers from early onset Alzheimer’s.

Duane M. Hall was shopping with his son at Fred Meyer, 11325 S.E. Mill Plain Blvd., about 10:30 p.m. Monday when he became agitated and left the store, according to the Vancouver Police Department.

Hall reportedly said he wanted to walk to Battle Ground to visit his ex-wife, police said. Hall’s son told police that Hall is physically fit and routinely walks long distances, so is more than capable of making the trek.

Vancouver police officers, along with deputies from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office. assisted in the search for Hall, including checking highways, hospitals and with Veterans Affairs, Vancouver police said.

Hall is described as about 6 feet tall and 170 pounds with gray hair, blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue plaid flannel jacket with a black hood, brown jeans, black boots and a tan Adidas baseball cap.

Anyone who has information on Hall’s whereabouts or who sees him is asked to call 911 and reference Vancouver police case number 2016-1003.
