Shooting reported at Vancouver apartment complex

Male reportedly shot in back at Springfield Meadows apartments

Police are responding tonight to a report of a shooting that left one person injured at an apartment complex in Vancouver.

Officers from the Vancouver Police Department were dispatched at about 10:20 p.m. to the Springfield Meadows apartments, 4316 N.E. 66th Ave., to a report of shots fired, according to emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian. Moments later, an ambulance was dispatched to the area to treat a gunshot wound, according to dispatch records.

A male reportedly shot another male in the back with a handgun and fled the scene, according to radio traffic.

More information was not immediately available.
